Recently we worked on a very special project for a private client in downtown Chicago. This artwork is an original Love is the Answer by Mr. Brainwash that a private client brought to us for framing. We gave it the best treatment: it has a 5″ float on Crescent Cardboard Co, LLC Museum Solids, museum quality plexiglas and a beautiful distressed silver moulding from Universal Arquati. We also provided delivery and installation services from Jake Feldman Fine Art Installation, LLC who did an expert job facilitating this project. The overall dimensions were close to 4.5 feet by 6 feet, making it one of the largest artworks Peterson Picture has framed and installed!
As you can see, it was no problem for our team of art handlers and installers. We can coordinate pick up and delivery nationwide for any art project!
The previous framer had the artwork in a small poster frame. On our site visit we analyzed what finishes would match the client’s existing decor and what treatment would best preserve the artwork against damages. We used Museum Acrylic from Tru Vue to protect the artwork from UV rays, you might be able to see the window reflection in the art!
Mr. Brainwash is a pseudonym used by French-born, LA based street artist Thierry Guetta. He is most known for shooting the footage from the Banksy documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop. Guetta organized some of Banksy’s earliest shows in LA, eventually creating his own work which our client purchased. Graffiti, pop culture references and screen printing techniques define street art as a genre.
