Local Community Involvement through Peterson Picture Projects

At Peterson Picture Co., we know that community involvement is not only important, but essential. We are proud to be part of the Chicago community and we are dedicated to giving back in every way we can. We’re highlighting some of our local involvement efforts and the positive impact they have.

Working with a Nonprofit for Pro Bono Design Services and In-Kind Donations

One way we give back is by working with Designs for Dignity, a nonprofit that transforms environments through pro bono design services. Our team has donated our time and materials to create a number of pieces for D4D recently and are always looking for more ways to help the organization achieve its mission.

Donating Scrap Moulding and Mats to Local Public Schools

Another way we give back is by donating scrap moulding and mats to Chicago Public Schools. We know that budgets are tight for many schools and often their programs suffer as a result. By donating our scrap materials, we can help provide the supplies that the school’s programs need to flourish. This not only benefits the schools, but it also reduces waste and promotes sustainability.

Offering Sustainable Options Assembled from Certified Green Materials

On the topic of sustainability, we’re proud to offer sustainably produced options that are assembled from certified green materials. These materials are documented as eco-friendly, which means that customers can feel good about their purchases knowing that they are making a positive impact on the environment.

Designing a Mural with Local Artists and Community Input

Finally, we are in the process of designing a mural on the outside wall of the Peterson Picture Co. facility on Belmont Avenue. But we’re not doing it alone. We have invited community members and local artists to provide input and collaborate on the design. By involving them in the creative process, we are creating a meaningful piece of art that will truly represent the community and its values.

By prioritizing local involvement and sustainability, we are creating positive change in Chicago and beyond. We hope that more businesses will follow our lead and make a positive impact in their own communities.
